Jessica Kaufman practices civil litigation, focusing upon commercial litigation and bankruptcy. Ms. Kaufman has experience in the areas of legal research and persuasive writing, and she is skilled in the preparation of complex matters for trial.
Prior to joining Conrad & Scherer, Jessica Kaufman was associated with the Fort Lauderdale firms of Genovese, Joblove & Battista, P.A., and Adorno & Yoss, LLP, where she litigated large, complex commercial cases as well as adversarial bankruptcy proceedings. She accumulated an extensive amount of time in the courtroom on behalf of clients, advocating on a wide variety of requests to the court as part of a comprehensive motion practice. Additionally, Ms. Kaufman participated in mediations and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, including complex settlement agreements as alternatives to trial.
During her years of practice, Jessica Kaufman has gained particular skill in large / complex business lawsuits and bankruptcy matters. Ms. Kaufman has experience in diagnosing legal issues, researching legalities and honing persuasive arguments and presenting them both in writing for filing with the court as well as in argument before the bench.
Ms. Kaufman is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, and the International Woman’s Insolvency Confederation.
